 8 hours dayshift Shift: 7:30am-4:00pm

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement as well as standard work procedures.
• Responding to any emergency or potential emergency
• Security diligence, including maintaining control of personal key cards, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Berry employees, and proper maintenance / security of Berry information and equipment within your direct responsibility.
• Identify and record problem relating to product, process and quality system.
• Troubleshoots hydraulic, automation, vision, and electrical systems on injection molding machines to ensure continuous production.
• Authorized to take out of service any machine or equipment that is deemed to be unsafe or that would further deteriorate with continued use.
• Build replacement guards, brackets, chutes, etc as needed.
• Operate and maintain all shop equipment safely and efficiently
• Study specifications as blueprints, sketches, models or descriptions, and visualize products to determine material required, and machine to be used to fabricate parts.
• Be able to create fabricated parts that fit the process need without any guidance and make those in a safe and efficient manner.
• Design parts contact points to not create damaged closures or contamination.
• Examine standard or previously used part transfer and/or part containment systems to determine improvements in design or build methods

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• English Fluent Required
• Spanish Conversational Preferred
• Mold welding Required
• Design experience Required
• Ability to read blueprints. Required

• Familiar with automation and vision systems. Required
• Troubleshooting experience. Required
• Knowledge of injection molding machine functions and controls. Preferred

THE WORK ENVIRONMENT CHARACTERISTICS:

• Manufacturing environment. Some exposure to office environment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.
