Responsibilities:
PURPOSE:
Berry Global is committed to ending plastic waste. We continually seek ways to improve product recyclability and increase offerings with recycled content. As a Material Handler/Bailer in our Reprocessing Department, you will play a key role in this mission here at the Sioux Falls site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow and support all Company safety, GMP and HACCP policies
- Collect all scrap materials from the production areas in a timely fashion
- Weigh and process scrap material in the bailer
- Maintain records of the shift’s productivity
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 to 6 months experience as a Production Packer and/or 3 to 6 months working in a related manufacturing field
- Ability to read instructions, checklists, correspondence and memos
- Ability to add and subtract 2 digit numbers, multiply/divide 10’s and 100’s by 2, 3, 4 and 5
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Ability to operator bailing equipment and work with hand tools
- Ability to safely work around moving machinery or electricity
- Ability lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, push or pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to reach, climb, kneel, crouch, bend or twist up to 66% of the work shift
