Overview
BerryDunn is looking for a thoughtful, creative, and success-oriented Proposal Coordinator to support business development initiatives in our growing firm. As an ideal candidate, you will bring a strong attention to detail, effective written and oral communication skills, an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, a proactive mindset, and a passion for analyzing and solving problems. You will also demonstrate adaptability, have a sense of curiosity, and a genuine desire to learn in a team environment. This position will sit in Portland, ME, one of our other office locations, or may be remote in certain circumstances. You will report to a Cohort Manager in the Business Development Department.
Responsibilities
You will:
• Gather and refine content from reference materials and/or interviews with subject matter experts• Assist in coordinating and composing proposal sections with oversight from the Cohort Manager or Proposal Lead• Support the development of proposal outlines in accordance with prescribed requirements • Manage deadlines and responsibilities using strong time management skills• Help the team keep proposal development efforts on schedule, based on timelines developed by Proposal Leads, by coordinating with other writers and subject matter experts• Review drafted proposals for clarity, technical accuracy, continuity, readability, and (most critically) compliance with prescribed requirements• Support content development and editing initiatives for our proposal library• Update and develop graphics to accompany business development efforts• Conduct competitive and client research• Track and maintain opportunity data in Salesforce • Occasionally assist in the production of hard copy and electronic documents• Assist with other projects as needed • Limited travel may be required (less than 5%)
Qualifications
You have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism or related area or equivalent work experience• Excellent writing, editing, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills • Strong attention to detail • Ability to collaborate with traveling and/or remote team members, often across time zones• Proficient in MS Office programs, including, Word, Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Preferred:
• Proven ability and comfort level working effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and strict deadlines • Strong problem solving and analytical skills• Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field• Knowledge of Salesforce or other customer relationship management (CRM) platform
Compensation Details
The base salary range targeted for this role is $24 - $26 an hour. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
