Primary Job Duties

• Customer Service Skills:
• Greet customers throughout the day and provide assistance with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
• Answer phones and direct calls.
• Handle guest requests, suggestions, complaints, returns, and questions efficiently.
• Report guest suggestions, comments, and complaints to the On-Duty-Manager.
• Sales Skills:
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions and policies regarding payment and exchanges.
• Responsible for promoting and locating products that meet the customer’s needs.
• Cashier:
• Efficiently operates POS system using proper cash handling methods.
• Assists customers with the use of the card processing machine for credit, debit, and ebt.
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate.
• Handles cash register transactions with speed and accuracy.
• Engagement with customers is balanced between friendly and efficient.
• Organizational Skills:
• Responsible for keeping the store organized and stocking shelves.
• Ensure products are properly stocked, rotated and labeled.
• Maintaining and consolidating backstock in accordance with standard procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Performs regular maintenance for the bathrooms.
• Receiving:
• Assist with stocking and unloading deliveries.
• Receive inventory, including checking for quality and expiration dates, and ensuring that all products are properly stored and rotated.
• Prepare merchandise for purchase. Ticket, arrange, and display accordingly.
• Cardboard Baler Operator:
• Load and compress cardboard into the baler.
• Bind bales when the baler is full.
• Follow safety protocols when operating the baler.
• Follow safety procedures when moving a bale.
• Maintain the recycling shed in a clean and orderly condition.
• Security:
• Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to report these situations.
• Teamwork:
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Recognizing the interconnectedness between shifts and how one sets the other up for success.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
