Parking Attendant Contractor
- Efficient Traffic Flow: Ensure smooth entry and exit from parking lots. Direct drivers to available parking spots quickly and safely, reducing congestion and minimizing wait times.
- Manage Peak Periods: During high-traffic times, keep traffic moving efficiently to avoid bottlenecks.
- Park Vehicles Safely: Ensure that vehicles are parked correctly within marked spaces and are not blocking lanes or emergency exits.
- Provide Directions: Be prepared to give attendees information about where to park, where to find event entrances, restroom locations, and other amenities.
- Handle Inquiries: Assist with any parking-related questions or concerns attendees may have and provide guidance in a professional, friendly manner.
- Be Approachable and Polite: Maintain a positive attitude and remain courteous, especially when dealing with frustrated or confused drivers.
- Monitor for Unsafe Behavior: Be vigilant and observe vehicles for unsafe driving, parking violations, or suspicious activity.
- Ensure Compliance with Arena Rules: Enforce parking policies, such as no parking in unauthorized areas or fire lanes.
- Assist in Emergency Situations: In the case of an emergency, such as accidents, breakdowns, or medical issues, parking attendants may need to coordinate with security or emergency services.
- Monitor Pedestrian Safety: Ensure that pedestrians can safely cross parking lots, especially when crowds are heavy before or after an event.
- Address Special Needs: Provide assistance to vehicles that require accessible parking or guiding them to ADA spaces.
- Resolve Conflicts: If there are parking disputes (e.g., someone parked in the wrong space), parking attendants should handle the situation calmly and professionally, offering solutions or escalating it to higher authorities if necessary.
- Lost Vehicle Assistance: In case someone loses track of where they parked, be prepared to offer assistance or direct them to help locate their vehicle.
- Stay Alert and Focused: Remain vigilant throughout your shift, as you are responsible for safety and the smooth operation of parking services.
- Coordinate with Arena Security Management and Other Staff: Work closely with other event staff, including security, law enforcement traffic units, and customer service
- Manage Post-Event Traffic: After the event, help with the efficient flow of vehicles leaving the parking area, directing them to avoid congestion and ensuring a timely departure.
