PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: Supports the Director of Auxiliary Programs to strategically plan, coordinate and implement a robust auxiliary program including after school enrichment programs, extended day care, summer camps, facility rentals and special events.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Summer camp-development of an engaging program across a variety of themes including STEM, academic, arts, athletics and outdoor education.
- Assist with hiring, training and supervising summer camp staff
- Manage registration systems and camper records
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families and manage communications
- Lower School/Middle School after care and enrichment programs - maintain calendars, rosters and schedules for a smooth daily operation
- Work closely with outside vendors and instructors for enrichment activities
- Assist with budgeting, invoicing, payroll for auxiliary programs as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associates Degree in Education or a related field
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in a youth camp or recreational program
Specific Skills: Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends during busy seasons. Attention to detail and commitment to an auxiliary program. Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills. Comfortable with Google workspace.
