Best Friends Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our multi-doctor, small animal practice. This is a full time position with rotating half day Saturday shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking for ongoing growth and training.
We're looking for positive team players with 3 years of veterinary related experience preferred, solid communication skills, and a commitment to the veterinary field.
Primary responsibilities and experience:
- Surgical assistance
- Patient handling and restraint
- Blood draws and IVC placement
- Pharmacy duties and lab work
- Medication administration
- Client communication and education
- General hospital cleaning
- Monitoring hospital flow
