We have been the leader in pet hospitality and the go-to destination for boarding, daycare, and grooming for over 30 years. We’re searching for a passionate, hands-on Center Manager to assume a leadership role with a collaborative approach, inspire a team, and deliver unforgettable experiences for pets and their families.
Lead the Way: Be the trusted leader for our furry guests and their people. Ensure pets feel safe, cared for, and loved at every moment. Oversee daily care routines like feeding, medicating, grooming, exercise, and playtime— creating happy tails and wagging smiles (must be able to lift large dogs). Keep meticulous records to guarantee each pet’s health and behavior is closely monitored.
Set the Standard for Excellence: Enforce safety protocols and maintain a best-in-class boarding facility. Handle emergencies with ease in collaboration with your District Manager. Stay ahead of regulations and ensure every corner of the facility meets or exceeds Best Friends Pet Care standards.
Inspire and Empower Your Team: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of 15 dedicated animal care professionals in a positive work culture that celebrates open communication. Effectively serve as a liaison between frontline team members and headquarters staff, facilitating clear communication and collaboration. Build schedules that balance excellence in pet care with budget efficiency. Create a positive work culture that celebrates growth, teamwork, and open communication.
Delight Our Clients: Deliver exceptional service that leaves pet parents raving about their experience. Build lasting client relationships that foster loyalty, referrals, and a sense of community. Encourage feedback and champion ways to elevate the client experience.
Keep the Business Thriving: Take charge of payroll, budgets, and financial reporting in collaboration with your District Manager and full-time administrative support team. Manage inventory and coordinate purchasing to ensure supplies are always stocked. Collaborate with a creative marketing team to elevate community outreach, and partnerships to promote services and boost visibility.

Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years management experience.
- Previous experience with animals a plus.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to frequently lift 40 pounds.
- Must be able to be on feet eight hours per day.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
- Must be able to work on computer system and work on a multi-line telephone.
- Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.
- Ability to resolve problems quickly and professionally.
- Ability to supervise, motivate and counsel employees.
- Must have strong communication skills.
