Escrow Officer
Duties:
- Manage and oversee the escrow process for real estate transactions
- Review and analyze contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to escrow
- Coordinate with lenders, buyers, sellers, and other parties involved in the transaction
- Prepare and distribute escrow instructions and closing documents
- Calculate and verify financial figures including deposits, prorations, and closing costs
- Conduct title searches and obtain necessary title insurance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the escrow process
Requirements:
- Strong math skills with the ability to perform basic calculations accurately
- Proficient in using 10-key typing for data entry
- Knowledge of banking procedures and financial transactions
- Familiarity with contracts and legal documents related to escrow
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience as an Escrow Officer or in a similar role is preferred
