Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain various systems and equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities, as well as the capability to lead projects and supervise maintenance staff when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify issues and perform necessary maintenance.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to understand equipment layouts and systems.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and inventory.
- Perform welding tasks for repairs or modifications on equipment.
- Supervise maintenance staff, providing leadership and guidance during projects.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience in a maintenance role with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in maintenance tasks is preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and management.
