Job Description:
As a Maintenance Worker at Best Western Plus Lufkin, you will be responsible for ensuring the property is in optimal condition for guests and staff. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs across the hotel, including guest rooms, common areas, and external grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, Pool and general repairs.
- Inspect hotel equipment and facilities to ensure they are in good working order.
- Respond to maintenance requests from hotel staff or guests in a timely manner.
- Assist with keeping the hotel clean and safe by maintaining the grounds and common areas.
- Perform light carpentry, painting, and other minor construction repairs.
- Replace light bulbs, air filters, and perform other necessary repairs as required.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
- Follow all safety and cleanliness protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance worker or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of general maintenance and repair procedures (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
