The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for performing HR-related duties on an administrative and clerical level and works closely with the HR Director in supporting various employee programs within the Company.
Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Maintains employee files, including scanning and filing documents
- Sorts the mail for HR
- Assists with the hiring process, including submitting job postings online
- Schedules phone screens and interviews
- Proofreads documents
- Reviews insurance bills for accuracy
- Completes verifications of employment
- Provides answers to DES for unemployment cases and wage audits
- Assists in the administration of various human resources programs, including: 401(k), benefits, training, recruiting, employee relations, performance reviews, and compensation
- Assists with employee appreciation events and programs
- Provides backup to the Receptionist when out of office
- Provides backup to the HR team as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software
- Ability to operate general office equipment
- Desire to grow and continually learn
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2-3 years of experience in an administrative role
- Previous HR experience is a plus
