Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, public relations, or creative strategy, including within an FQHC, health center, or mission-driven nonprofit setting.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, photography, video editing, and content scheduling platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills; confident conducting interviews and engaging high-profile stakeholders.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills with experience producing executive communications and media-facing content.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and ability to manage projects independently and collaboratively.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Executive Marketing Strategy & Brand Leadership
- Serve as the lead architect of Betances’ visual and public messaging strategies.
- Maintain a consistent and compelling brand presence across all platforms and materials.
- Provide the Director of Outreach and Marketing and her team with a master calendar of all scheduled events, campaigns, promotional moments, and creative deadlines to ensure preparedness and collaboration.
- Offer strategic direction and creative oversight for all design, PR, and media engagement efforts.
- Design and oversee the creation of materials including brochures, flyers, signage, program books, infographics, reports, and branded merchandise.
- Establish and enforce brand guidelines for internal and external communications.
- Manage creative requests from across departments, ensuring alignment with brand standards and deadlines.
- Lead content strategy and execution for all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube).
- Develop monthly content calendars aligned with organizational priorities and national observances.
- Track engagement and campaign performance using analytics to optimize strategy.
- Conduct interviews with legislators, providers, executives, patients, and partners to generate compelling media and internal storytelling content.
- Serve as the organization’s primary point of contact for earned media, press opportunities, and media interviews.
- Draft press releases, talking points, CEO communications, and op-eds for publication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members of the press and elected officials.
- Provide creative and strategic support for all Betances-hosted events including:
- Galas and fundraisers
- Grand openings, ribbon cuttings, and press events
- Community outreach initiatives
- Recruitment and staff appreciation events
- Develop visual and promotional materials (e.g., programs, step-and-repeat designs, invites, media kits).
- Attend events as needed to document with photography/video and create follow-up media content.
- Develop and maintain provider and staff profiles to support patient engagement and recruitment.
- Produce multimedia assets (photo, video, written narrative) to highlight care teams and clinical services.
- Oversee and maintain content on Betances’ website, ensuring up-to-date, accessible, and engaging information.
- Collaborate with web vendors or IT to enhance user experience and SEO performance.
- Create and update campaign-specific pages as needed.
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
