Established Independent Multi-Specialty Practice Seeking a Charge Entry Specialist to Join Our Team!

Our mission at BMC is to provide excellent care through a multi-specialty approach from prevention to intervention of potentially life-threatening health problems. Seeking a Charge Entry Specialist for our Triad locations, including Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Jamestown, Mt. Airy, and North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. The Charge Entry Specialist will work at our High Point office location.

The Charge Entry Specialist will ensure that all encounter forms and charges are collected and entered into Allscripts timely and correctly to facilitate quick claims processing and payment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for posting both electronic and manual Provider encounter forms within the instructed time frame.

· Post charges manually for services turned in by Providers upon receipt.

· Daily encounter form and service verification and tracking.

· Communicates with Providers and Revenue Cycle Manager regarding errors, delays, etc. preventing timely entry of charges.

· Any additional duties as assigned by the Revenue Cycle Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· At least (2) two years of experience working in a medical office billing.

· Knowledge of insurance products, CPT, and ICD-10 Coding.

· Strong communication skills; verbal and written.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to quickly master Allscripts.

· Ability to meet daily benchmarks.
