Better Home Health Care Agency is a leader in the home health care industry, servicing Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan and Westchester. We are looking for a bilingual ( English , Spanish ) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must possess strong decision making skills, excellent communication, time management and good documentation skills. The coordinator works with patients and field staff to facilitate daily operation of agency.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate acceptable with 1-year business or health care experience.
- Computer Literate.
- HHA Exchange preferred
- Ability to make sound business decisions regarding deployment of staff.
- Ability to promote staff motivation.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Must be able to hear adequately with no more than an amplifier on the phone.
- Home Care experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Responsible for staffing cases and assigning field staff to meet patient needs.
- Must maintain accurate and up to date schedules for field staff and provide coverage for field staff call-outs
- Maintains patients files and a healthy relationship with the patient through bi-weekly progress calls
- Must be available to participate in on-call rotation
- Must be able to work on a rotating schedule
