TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST


Department: Human Resources

Job Status: Full Time

FLSA: Salary Non-Exempt

Reports to: Talent & Recruitment Supervisor

Work Location: The Woodlands, TX (full-time, onsite - not a hybrid role)

Positions Supervised: None

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Travel Required: 10% (Overtime as needed)


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will thrive on engaging in comprehensive recruitment activities. In this role, you will support the Talent Acquisition Manager and assist with sourcing, attracting, coordinating, and conducting interviews to find the ideal candidates for our company's long-term goals. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Successfully attend, participate, and complete the scheduled New Hire Orientation and Safety training tasks and responsibilities.
  • Attend and successfully complete annual safety and operations recertification training.
  • Ability to work within a team environment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Quickly learn and become knowledgeable and compliant with digital platforms, including Paycom and other company-mandated systems.
  • Read, write, and comprehend English. Bilingual applicants preferred.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally, both written and orally.
  • Handle new hire filing and administration, including sourcing, interviewing, prescreening, offering, and processing pre-employment checks.
  • Manage, review, and update job descriptions as necessary.
  • Organize and disseminate new hire materials.
  • Utilize applicant tracking system (ATS) for data entry and candidate management.
  • Arrange pre-employment travel using the corporate travel application.
  • Analyze company hiring and talent needs to anticipate future vacancies.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to anticipate needs and fill positions.
  • Research talent acquisition trends to improve the full life-cycle recruiting process.
  • Regularly research state and federal hiring laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to creative talent acquisition processes, including unique ideas on marketing and events.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successfully pass a background check.
  • Possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Daily in-person, predictable attendance.
  • Paycom experience is preferred, although not required.
  • RPO experience highly preferred, but not required.
  • Talent acquisition and recruitment experience in the fracing industry is preferred, but not required.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree from an accredited university preferred.
  • 3 years of recruiting experience, in a high-volume recruitment setting.


QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency with the Windows environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Possess the following proficiencies:
  • Written Comprehension: Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Oral Expression: Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Written Expression: Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
  • Deductive Reasoning: Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Inductive Reasoning: Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions, including finding relationships among seemingly unrelated events.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADVANCEMENT:

  • Time in Position: Minimum 12 months.
  • Obtain SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed performance goals.

  • Frequently required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach, and squat/kneel.
  • Work primarily indoors with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
  • May be required to lift heavy objects; must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends depending on job demands.
