What are the responsibilities and job description for the Canning Line Packer position at Bev-Hub?
Position Summary:
- This position reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for assisting with operations of our canning line(s)
- Canning/Packaging product for our valued customers in a timely manner while meeting safety and quality food codes and procedures
Essential Job Functions:
- Canning/packaging products according to standard operating procedures
- Position work on the canning lines
- Clearing the line of outfeed/accumulation of product
- Packaging preparation work
- Packaging finished product
- Organizing and stacking product
- Assisting with labeling and packaging product from the canning line
- Ensure product is of highest standards before and after packaging
- Assist with routine inspections on equipment to ensure quality
- Perform tasks with focus towards organization, sanitation, and safety
- Maintain clean work environment by assisting in general cleaning
- Additional duties as required
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Detail orientated person required for this position
- Ability to complete tasks in timely manner
- Capable of lifting 40lbs. and capable of regularly moving 150lbs by pallet jack
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Must always wear personal protective equipment
- Participates actively in facility safety initiatives, programs, and training sessions
- Ability to work a schedule of (5) full 8-hour workdays per week, with the flexibility to occasionally work nights and weekends as needed
