Beyond Addiction is a detox and residential substance abuse treatment center. The facility has 28 beds and is a remodeled home-like place of recovery.
Job Purpose:
The Nurse Lead position at Beyond Addiction will supervise the LPN and MA staff and work in the Detox unit providing medical attention as needed to both Detox and Residential Patients for their stay. This position requires experience with patients with Substance Use Disorder.
Essential Duties:
- Demonstrate excellent clinical judgement, in accordance with clinic protocols
- Conduct in-house testing procedures and therapeutic treatments following clinic protocols
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient and compassionate care delivery
- Educate patients MAT
- Manage optimal patient flow from patient intake to discharge
- Conduct staff training sessions to ensure the maintenance of competencies for clinical procedures
- Provide guidance and mentorship to new and established clinical staff
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with clinic policies, regulatory and HIPPA standards
- Assist in developing, updating, and implementing clinic policies and procedures
- Monitor and report on patient compliance with treatment protocols
- Collaborate with various healthcare partners to ensure comprehensive care and resource accessibility for patients
- Develop community resources for services beyond the our scope
- Review and oversee management of accurate and confidential medical records
- Represent the clinic within the community to enhance recognition and access to resources
- Participate in quality assurance activities
- Implement corrective actions and track results to ensure continuous improvement
Additional Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of nursing theories, health promotion, and addiction medicine
- Proficient in performing physical assessments and nursing procedures
- Excellent teaching/coaching skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to work efficiently, flexibly, and compassionately in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification
- Commitment to serving vulnerable populations
- Nurse must be physically present at the clinic during days and times of medical clinic operation
- This role may require additional occasional evening or weekend hours to accommodate clinic operations and community events
- Must be physically capable of performing job-related tasks, which include walking, standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and assisting patients as needed
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Current PA licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Minimum Job Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional nursing experience, preferably in addiction medicine setting
