We’re a fast paced print and signage shop looking for a hands on Production Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning machines and being part of a team that brings projects to life.
About Us
We are a large format print and sign shop working on a wide range of projects including banners, vinyl graphics, signage, cut-outs and custom builds. Many of our projects are deadline driven, and teamwork is essential.
Job Overview
This is a full-time, in-shop position focused on print finishing and production support. Our workload can vary, and some projects require staying late or working occasional weekends. We’re looking for someone who is flexible and willing to work extended hours when needed. Overtime is compensated.
We may start with a short trial period to make sure it’s a good fit for both sides.
Responsibilities
• Finishing printed materials
• Mounting graphics to boards and substrates
• Laminating prints
• Trimming and cutting materials
• Cut-outs and contour cutting
• Operating Summa cutters
• Weeding vinyl
• Painting and basic finishing work
• Printing and assisting with printers
• Operating shop machines, including printers and laser cutters
• Grommet installation
• Banner making and basic sewing
• Lifting and moving materials (some heavy lifting required)
• Keeping the shop clean and organized
• Working closely with the team to meet deadlines
Requirements
• Flexible schedule with ability to work late hours and occasional weekends
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Professional, clean and presentable at work
• Team player mentality
• Ability to take constructive criticism
• Familiarity with print shop materials is a plus
• Experience in a print or sign shop is helpful, but not required
