The Company is seeking an experienced accounting professional in the sales and use tax field. This individual will manage the preparation and analysis of the sales and use tax returns as well as compliance with the 2018 Wayfair regulations.

The Company is seeking an experienced accounting professional in the sales and use tax field. This individual will manage the preparation and analysis of the sales and use tax returns as well as compliance with the 2018 Wayfair regulations.
Position Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales and use tax experience.
- Proficient in MS Excel using spreadsheets to supply advanced analytics.
- SAP experience
- Manufacturing experience is a strong plus.
- File monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns – Multiple States and districts (Approximately 30 monthly filings)
- Monthly review of A/P manufacturing invoices for taxability
- Research the taxability of purchases as they occur.
- Reconcile the sales and use tax liability account every month.
- Aid with registration for new sales tax filings as they arise.
- Support the development of indirect tax procedures, policies, and guidelines around the use of manufacturing exemptions and resale certificates.
- Conduct self-audits periodically of miscellaneous payables/sales.
- Research tax laws
- Manage outside sales tax audits.
- Must be able to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize under pressure and within timeline constraints.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
- Work with the Accounting Business Analyst to perfect Tax ware.
- Communicate and collaborate closely with individuals in the Shared Services Center (IT, A/P, A/R) and Operations from whom prompt critical information is needed.
