Controls Engineer
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide programming and engineering support, troubleshooting of machining issues.
- Ability to interpret and prepare circuit diagrams, technical specifications, drawings, and reports.
- Working knowledge of programming and interfacing techniques with various control systems, programmable controllers (PLCs) and user interfaces (HMIs)
- Maintain and develop software systems utilized to control manufacturing processes.
- Performs other machine maintenance related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Hands-on Experience in Siemens/Allen-Bradley PLC & HMI.
- Hands-on experience on ABB/Fanuc Robotics automation.
- Electrical / Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
- Works well independently and with others.
- Good communication skills.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Controls related field (Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering).
- 2-4 years’ experience in related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
