Job Duties:
In this role, the Paramedic provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Administers direct care to the patient of all age groups under the direction of an emergency medical physician, emergency physician’s assistant, and emergency advanced registered nurse practitioner or utilizes approved EMS protocols if transporting a patient. Ensures adherence to hospital and department policies as well as paramedic scope of practice.
About the Department:
This hybrid emergency room and urgent care provides both types of care to patients conveniently under one roof. Patients will receive the appropriate level of care in a simple, cost effective one-stop location. The emergency room will provide care on a 24/7 basis with transport services available to handle high-acuity emergency situations needing surgery. On-site imaging and laboratory services are also available.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
State certified EMT-P course completion
State of Indiana EMT-P License or willing to obtain
BLS for Healthcare Provider required
PALS from AHA, ARC, or AHSI required
ACLS from AHA, ARC, or AHSI required
Valid Driver’s License
At least two (2) years previous experience preferred
