Summary Cath Lab RN Job Description: Registered Nurse-Cath Lab Full Time I First Shift Diagnostic and Imaging I Lexington, Ky $15,000 Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Individuals Baptist Health invasive cardiac services, where compassionate care meets advanced treatment and research. Our three units encompass the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and Cardiovascular Observation Unit. Our invasive Cardiac Services include cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, percutaneous catheter interventions, cardiac MEMs, interventional neurology, interventional radiology, cardiac ablations, pacemakers/defibrillators, left atrial appendage occlusion devices, loop recorder implants, transesophageal echocardiograms, and electrical cardioversions. Description Cath Lab RN: Assessment of patients’ needs. Development of patient care plans. Provision of direct care. Management of patient care delivery. Demonstrate leadership skills. Support for quality care. Customer relations and a healing environment. On call requirement weekends/holidays picked by rotation. Operating Room Nurses provide care and support to patients before, during and after surgery. Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking and creativity. Must possess ability to supervise and delegate appropriate work to Patient Care Techs, Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Secretaries, and Students. Qualifications Cath Lab RN: Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky. Bachelor’s or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university. Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years. ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment. Minimum of 2 years of ICU, CCU, or cardiovascular nursing experience preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date. ACLS certification required within 6 months for experienced nurses and 1 year for new graduates.
