Summary/Objective
The Medicare Specialist ensures that all Medicare claims are billed timely and accurately. Works remittance and rejection reports daily to identify issues. Processes appeals when applicable.
Essential Job Duties

Reviews and corrects and all Medicare final and interim billed claims daily for accurate billing.

Bills and claims timely within guidelines set notifying management of any issues if they cannot.

Works remittance reports from Medicare to identify errors, denials, recoupments, incorrect payments, etc. and obtains the necessary information to rebill/appeal.

Works track and aging reports to ensure all outstanding claims are resolved according to federal guidelines.

Prepares monthly bad debt logs for a submission.

Prepares quarterly credit balance reports for submission
Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
1 – 3 years’ experience
