Product Owner - Platform Reporting & Insights

We work a hybrid model (3 days in the office and 2 days work from home); this position is located in our Minneapolis Metro headquarters.

Here at BIW, we're currently on the lookout for someone to fill the position of Product Owner - Platform Reporting and Insights.

This role will lead the implementation of Platform Reporting and Insights experiences, ensuring BIW's core technology tools continue to engage participants, managers, and teams while also differentiating BIW in the marketplace.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement the vision and roadmap for platform reporting and insights, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and enterprise data strategy.
• Assist in defining what 'great' reporting and insights look like, including self-service analytics, embedded reporting, executive views, and AI-assisted insights.
• Participate in defining and standardizing key metrics, KPIs, and data definitions.
• Support discovery efforts to understand user decision-making needs, critical metrics, and areas of reporting friction.
• Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape to inform prioritization and differentiation.
• Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria focused on user value, usability, and trust in data.
• Regularly validate solutions through stakeholder reviews, usability testing, and adoption data.
• Partner closely with engineering, data, and UX teams to deliver high-quality reporting features on time.
• Collaborate with Product Development to prioritize the product backlog for reporting, dashboards, metrics, and insight capabilities.
• Balance short-term reporting needs with long-term scalability, data strategy, and architectural direction.
• Make informed tradeoff decisions when scope, timelines, or dependencies change.
• Monitor success measures to ensure reporting and insights drive adoption, client satisfaction, and business impact.
• Continuously refine reporting experiences based on user behavior, feedback, and performance data.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, customers, and delivery teams for reporting and insights.
• Support the integration of additional reporting or data elements into Elevate as enterprise analytics capabilities evolve.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts that solve business problems with software.
• Understanding of BIW's strategic goals.
• Strong data literacy (metrics, dashboards, analytics concepts, data models).
• Ability to translate complex data concepts into simple user experiences.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and prioritization skills.
• Curiosity to ask 'why' and confidence to say 'no.'
• Collaborative mindset with strong influencing skills.

Education / Experience Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Experience conducting data analysis and creating compelling visualizations.
• Experience with Product Ownership and working in an Agile environment.

Base Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000. The final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, and skills.
