Stock Receiving/Warehouse Personnel

Big C Lumber in Cromwell, IN is currently seeking a Stock Receiving/Warehouse Person. This is a full time, day shift position with benefits. This position assists both inside the store and in the warehouse.

Position Summary:

• Check accuracy of incoming material
• Accurately price material
• Assist drivers and other departments
• Provide assistance to customers
• Receive and prepare material for shipment
• Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Essential functions include:

• Notify salespersons of material received
• Stock material
• Assist customers
• Perform inventory cycle counts
• Rotate stock
• Unload vehicles and check for material accuracy
• Place material in proper yard location
• Use all required safety equipment
• Assist other employees as needed
• Load trucks for delivery
• Put returns away
• Check vehicles for any problems; including daily forklift inspections
• Proper arrangement of material on trucks
• Proper storage of inventory
• Assist with ensuring yard is kept clean always
• Communicate clearly and effectively with employees, management, and customers
• Perform any special assignment/projects as required by the manager

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to build and arrange loads properly
• Ability able to routinely lift, carry, and move over 70#
• CDL B or Chauffeur/For Hire License is a plus, but not required
• Ability to become Forklift Certified
• Basic math skills
• Self-motivation
• Exhibit product knowledge
• Organizational skills
• Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to harsh and extreme weather conditions
• Ability to adapt to in-house software
