What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Apprentice position at Big G Electric & Engineering, LLC?
Job Summary:
Big G is seeking a few motivated and dedicated 3rd or 4th year Apprentice Electricians to join our team. The Apprentice Electrician will work under the supervision of an experienced journeyman, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair. The role involves working on commercial and industrial projects and construction sites, where safety and adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC) are paramount.

- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Learn to read blueprints and technical diagrams to understand electrical layouts.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Conduct tests on electrical systems using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Support experienced electricians in troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Help with low voltage and high voltage installations as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 4,000 verifiable electrical apprentice hours.
- Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
- The ability to learn and follow directions from Supervisors.
- Must be able to pass a pre-Employment Drug Screen and background check.
Additional Information:
- Must have own hand tools and basic power tools.
- Previous hours of electrical experience from other employers must be verified to receive credit.
