Position Summary

In this role, the Senior Salesforce Analyst will be instrumental in enhancing and optimizing our Salesforce platform. They will apply best practices in coding and system architecture, focusing on back-end development, customization, and integrations to ensure Salesforce operates as a robust engine driving business growth. Beyond technical execution, the analyst will design scalable solutions and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure Salesforce is effectively leveraged across the organization.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Salesforce Development & Platform Optimization

  • Own the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of Salesforce solutions, including custom Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), declarative automation (Flows), and platform configuration
  • Lead the development of scalable workflows, validation rules, and automation frameworks aligned to business processes and data governance standards.
  • Acts as an initial point of escalation for complex improvement opportunities, and system and process-related problems.
  • Manage system release cycles and change deployments, including impact analysis, regression testing, stakeholder communication, and user enablement.
  • Leading the transition to and delivery of department reporting and dashboard performance management.
  • Proactively evaluate Salesforce seasonal releases and translate new platform capabilities into business value through thoughtful adoption and roadmap recommendations.


System Integration & Data Management

  • Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs, middleware, or ETL tools.
  • Ensure seamless data flow across platforms and improving data quality to enable performance management and business insight.
  • Perform complex data migrations and transformations.
  • Maintain data quality, integrity, and security across Salesforce environments.
  • Drive DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and environment management.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.


Business Requirements and Change Management

  • Lead Business Requirements Documentation (BRDs) by partnering with Sales, Operations, Finance, and IT to clearly define business objectives, functional requirements, success metrics, and downstream impacts.
  • Act as the intake and governance owner for Salesforce change requests, ensuring requests are properly logged, prioritized, scoped, and aligned with business strategy.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical designs, balancing speed, scalability, and long-term platform health.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5 years of Salesforce experience with a strong focus on back-end development.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP) and integration tools (MuleSoft, Informatica, Dell Boomi, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and security models.
