We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Cabinet Builder to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct custom cabinets tailored to client specifications.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish cabinet components using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and woodworking equipment.
- Fabricate cabinet parts with attention to detail, ensuring proper fit, finish, and durability.
- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and locks to ensure functionality and aesthetic appeal.
- Perform quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain high standards of craftsmanship.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to confirm design details and resolve any fabrication or installation issues promptly.
- Assist with site preparation and coordinate with other trades for seamless installation of cabinets within residential or commercial spaces.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols on the shop floor and at construction sites.
- Support additional carpentry tasks such as door hanging, fixture installation, siding, or remodeling projects as needed.
- Utilize schematics, blueprints, and technical instructions effectively to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinetry fabrication or custom woodworking within a construction or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and drywall finishing is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools (such as saws, drills, sanders), CNC machinery, and other fabrication equipment.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings is essential.
- Background in construction site experience including fixture installation, flooring installation, tile laying or electrical work is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling or installation processes.
- Skills in caulking, stucco application, masonry work or plumbing are beneficial for versatile project support.
- Experience in the restoration industry or remodeling projects demonstrates adaptability across diverse construction tasks.
