What are the responsibilities and job description for the Powersports Service Writer/Powersports Service Advisor position at Big River Motorsports?
Big River Motorsports is seeking a dependable SERVICE WRITER to join our team. BRM is part of the #1 powersports dealership family in the region. We are seeking a long term employee who is knowledgeable about Cars, ATV's, SXS's, motorcycle's and dirt bikes, and how they operate. Mechanical experience will make this job much easier due to the communication requirements of this position. The ability to speak and understand details about specific maintenance tasks is of upmost importance.
Some duties include: (but are not limited to)
- Greeting customers
- Unloading and receiving new inventory
- Operating a Forklift
- Receiving broken down customer machines
- Tracking repair orders
- Retaining knowledge of customer information
- Taking good notes
- Identify service needs based on customer concerns
- Estimate cost and completion times.
- Coordinate repair work with technicians
- Create repair orders, check for pricing accuracy, and obtain customer signatures.
- Oversee administration of warranty claims.
