Qualifications:
- A high school diploma/GED and four years of grain industry experience
- Solid practical accounting, analytical and organizational skills, strong communication skills, (both verbal and written), and strong documentation skills are required
- Knowledge of position reporting, including the ability to interpret position data/reports, and proficiency with spreadsheet and word-processing software (e.g. Excel and MS Word), are required
- Knowledge of grain industry practices, terminology and settlement processes, careful attention to detail, and the ability to work in an active and fast-paced department are all preferred
- Must possess a positive presence while serving an active role across multiple teams within a diverse working environment
Reporting to this Position: None
Description of Duties:
- Assist and support Grain Merchandiser
- Responsible for the application and processing of grain purchase settlements
- Support entry/reconciliation of daily hedge transactions
- Support daily and monthly commodity processes
- Communicate cash bids to customers
- Maintain accurate record of credit sale contracts
- Responsible for incoming phone calls and providing excellent service to customers
- Verify and update daily position report
- Enter data into Intellego grain accounting software
- Reconcile daily grain activity
- Maintain liens on grain customer accounts
- Assist and support commodity, financial, and plant operations team
- Serve an active role in all plant administrative functions
- All other duties as assigned
