Head Start Quality Control Manager

Big Sandy Area Community Action Program is looking for a Quality Control Manager to join our Head Start team.

Position Summary: A Quality Control Manager will assist in researching and maintaining Head Start Performance Standards and related regulations and delivering training to grantee and delegate staff.

Job duties and details:

• Monitors changes in State/Federal rules and regulations and data tracking methods, delivers training as needed to provide updates to staff.
• Maintain the BSACAP Head Start website by uploading appropriate materials to keep staff and families updated.
• Coordinate with Policy Council members to review and update BSACAP Head Start Policies and Procedures as needed.
• Evaluate effectiveness of program and staff by completing observations tools periodically.
• Complete and maintain certification as CLASS observer.
• Prepare and present program information reports to Policy Council.
• Provide on-site visits for staff or parent assistance.
• Attend local, regional, and national training on various program topics and train staff accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office programs, internet research, webpage construction, and data entry.
• Ability to utilize agency resources to appropriately answer questions and provide guidance to staff and parents.
• Ability to travel to classrooms in a five-county area and monitor teaching staff to assure the effective implementation of early childhood principles.
• Strong interpersonal and professional skills including but not limited to: professional appearance, communication orally and in written form, listening, time management, punctuality, and dependability.
• Valid driver’s license and some travel required
• Hire subject to Head Start policies on background check and drug screening

Pay: $17.34 per hour
