Description : Do you want to work with a Maintenance team where you’ll have ownership over Tank storage projects that truly make a difference? How about proactively identifying storage problems and solutions to maximize storage capacity and tank efficiency? We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to provide specialized knowledge and guidance in the design, construction, maintenance, repairs, and compliance of Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs) according to the American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and Big West Oil’s Engineering Practices (EP’s).
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tank regulations, industry best practices, and a proven successful project management track record. As a Tank Maintenance Supervisor, you'll work for an independent company in the Rocky Mountains to navigate and optimize the refinery.

Join us as we grow and implement technology that keeps the refinery moving. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : The right individual will :
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Review and approve engineering designs and specifications for tank systems.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff and stakeholders on API standards and best practices.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exhibit great communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in technology related to tank management.
- Prepare and present technical reports, schedules, proposals, and documentation to customers and management.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to tank operations and maintenance.
- Trained in basic safety refinery orientation, Firsthand knowledge of filling out JSA / JHA’s. Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in API tank design, construction, and maintenance events.
- Working knowledge of API standards (API 620, API 650, API 653) and relevant regulatory requirements (EPA, OSHA, etc.).
- Professional certifications (e.g., API 653 Inspector Certification) (Tank Entry Supervisor Certification) are highly desirable.
- Proficient in relevant software such as : Microsoft Projects, P6, Excel, CMMS, PowerPoint, and knowledge of software tools for tank design and analysis. About Big West Oil LLC. : Owned and operated by FJ Management, Big West Oil believes employees are the foundation of success.
