What are the responsibilities and job description for the Database Administrator position at Bigbear.ai?
BigBear.ai is seeking a Database Administrator to work with business and application/solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, manage relational data replication processes and support a production cloud environment.
The ideal candidate will have SAP HANA experience or be willing to train in SAP HANA.
What you will do
Work proactively and independently to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges to reduce project delivery risks
Debug end-to-end issues that occur within production SAP HANA environments
Set up SAP HANA monitoring solutions and reporting functions for interaction with an operations team
Implement and monitor replication technologies related to SAP HANA including SAP Replication Server, SDI, and DS
Configure and administer XS-Classic and XS-Advanced
Administer user account properties, single sign-on, and network security configuration
Perform database backups and restores, including point-in-time recoveries
Transport developed artifacts from DEV to TEST and PROD within a consistent release management process
Maintain close cooperation with a development team, setting up systems and scenarios enabling the team to provide fixes in the shortest possible time period
Analyze performance and scalability of the SAP HANA database, providing input for architectural enhancements
What you need to have
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS with Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline
- 7 years of technical experience in database architecture (preferably SAP HANA related)
- Experience in database performance tuning, focusing on SAP HANA
- Experience with data replication technologies including SAP Replication Server, Smart Data Integration, and Data Services
- Experience with database monitoring and reporting beneficial
- Experience with Amazon AWS, GovCloud, Azure, or other virtualization technologies beneficial
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively
- Prior experience supporting Federal agencies is a plus
