MHS I - $18.43/hr for 90 work-day probationary period; then $20.48/hr
Mental Health Specialist I -
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Service field or experience in related field with certification (Registered Behavior Technician)
2. Successful and related experience with student behaviors
SERVICES TO:
1. Students
2. Teachers
JOB GOAL: To enhance student functioning and achievement within the school setting.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES (may include but not limited to the following):
1. Provides direct behavioral and emotional support to students
2. Provides consultation to school personnel (teachers and paraprofessionals).
3. Observes in the classroom.
4. Assists in crisis situations.
5. Collects quantifiable data through observation and provides written reports.
6. Assists the coordinator/teacher with the development and implementation of behavioral intervention plans.
7. Provides staff training in social, emotional, and behavioral interventions when appropriate.
8. Monitors student progress with taught interventions and skills.
9. Clearly and effectively communicates with school personnel.
