Start dates for this position are August 12th, August 19th, or August 26th, 2025.
Please note that this is a seasonal position with an expected end date no later than November 1st, 2025. This position requires extensive manual and physical labor.
Based on performance and business needs, there may be an opportunity to be considered for a more permanent role at the end of the season, if one is available.
Employees who work a minimum of 150 hours through harvest and by November 1st, 2025, will be eligible to receive a $650 bonus at the end of the season.
Seasonal Vineyard Harvest staff members will work primarily Monday-Friday between 7 am and 4 pm, depending on the weather, with occasional weekends.
Vineyard Harvest Workers will provide general support to the Vineyard team during the harvest season (generally August – November, weather dependent). Duties may include, but are not limited to: picking grapes; cleaning and inspecting fruit; and collecting and organizing grape clusters for transport. Harvest workers also provide general assistance and support for leadership, the department, and the company.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Cut the clusters off the vines.
2. Clean the fruit if it has rot or other damage.
3. Put the clusters into picking lugs.
4. Dump the lugs into large bins.
5. Wash equipment and picking shears.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Leaf removal if necessary to find fruit.
2. Move lugs if needed to pick into.
3. Drive trucks if approved to do so.
4. Sharpen picking shears daily.
5. General assistance and support of vineyard operations and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience working in a vineyard is preferred.
2. Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
3. Good verbal communication skills.
4. Proven commitment to delivering world-class service (internally and externally).
5. Ability to multi-task effectively and work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
6. Must be able to take initiative and exercise good judgment.
7. Must be able to safely and effectively operate and use small tools and equipment (pruning and picking shears, etc.).
8. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
2. Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, reach overhead, and below.
3. Manual dexterity to operate small tools and equipment.
4. Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time – often up to eight (8) hours a day or more.
5. Ability to work outside in all types of weather with fluctuations in temperature and conditions.
