What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing and Promotions Assistant position at Binghamton Rumble Ponies?
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are an Eastern League team located in Binghamton, New York. We are the Double-A Affiliate to the New York Mets. The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are searching for a talented, creative individual to support our Marketing and Promotions efforts with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. This person will work closely with the Director of Marketing & Creative Services, along with production staff. This position is seasonal, starting in March and going until the season ends in September.
Responsibilities
· Help come up with creative ideas for the on-field games, theme nights, and other event that the Rumble Ponies can implement into the promotions schedule
· Assist with social media marketing
· Assist the promotions department and Carousel Crew with pre-game prep, as well as in-game promo executions and fulfill sponsorship contracts
· Create graphic designs for all marketing materials needed
· Maintain team photo galleries
· Answer phones and provide quality customer service
· Be willing and available to help in other departments with duties assigned – assisting with tarp pulls as needed due to weather
Requirements
· Bring creative and new ideas to support the overall entertainment and marketing efforts
· Proficiency with Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and other Adobe Suite Products, and Microsoft Office applications
· Ability to read and understand data analytics
· Obtaining a degree/have a degree in Sport Management, Marketing or related fields
· Ability to perform physical labor for long periods of time and in various weather conditions
Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work all home games and extra events during the season
