Role Overview
Reporting to the Director of Sponsorship, the Business Development Co-op supports the sponsorship function by streamlining many of the sponsorship processes and running the day-to-day operations of the sponsorship program. The individual will support new sponsorship inquiries and work with the operation and finance teams, as well as with our internal procurement group, BioLabs Marketplace, to fulfill contract obligations of all partnerships and to strengthen customer success. The hybrid position will be based out of Cambridge, MA, and onsite attendance is required two days per week.
Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting term sheets, agreements, and amendments.
- Maintain BioLabs sponsorship CRM system (Salesforce) including data entry.
- Work closely with our teams to create reports for quarterly business reviews for existing sponsors and sales reports for potential partners.
- Collaborate with each site to implement sponsorship benefits.
- Support BioLabs sponsorship marketing efforts on social media, managing content for sponsorship newsletters to share internally and externally.
- Manage sponsorship contribution tracking systems.
- Support BioLabs Golden Ticket initiatives by coordinating and managing events with our sites and partners.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Live sciences, or related fields.
- Able to commit to working 40 hours / week (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday) from January 8, 2024, to June 21, 2024 (hybrid, two days in the office)
- General knowledge of the sales cycle stages.
- Computer proficiency required: experience with MS Suite (Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint). And with collaborative interfaces such as Teams, SharePoint.
- Knowledge of CRM systems such as salesforce and PM tools such as smart sheet and Microsoft projects.
- Ability to work successfully in a collaborative environment and demonstrated ability to participate in and work in teams.
- Strong planning, organizational and customer-focused skills are a must to ensure minimal negligence.
