Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

Biologic Infusion Pharmacy is a home infusion pharmacy in Cypress, CA. We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The work schedule would be Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. (Sunday and Thursday off)

SUMMARY

• Performs the duties of a Pharmacy Technician working in an infusion pharmacy in compliance with company policy and state regulations. Responsible for sterile compounding under the supervision of a Pharmacist, to include clean room maintenance, completing documentation, and drug compounding. You will also be doing some intake and insurance verification work as well.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Active and in good standing California Pharmacy Technician License.
• Maintains sterile compounding and clinical competency in compliance with policy and to meet pharmacy standards for patient safety and effective therapy; compounds, dispenses and performs clinical activities to these standards.
• Has solid knowledge of and guarantees compliance with the following: state and federal regulations, accrediting body standards, Company policies and procedures, and standards of performance.
• Must be very detailed as compliance with clinical trials documentation is very stringent.
• Monitors cleaning and quality control logs for completeness.
• Works hand in hand with research lab and clinical trials monitors to insure compliance to trial protocol.
• Works with supervisory staff to continually develop and implement ideas for delivering high-quality, cost-effective services.
• Must be computer literate, will work with email, Excel Word, and CPR (pharmacy software). We will train on using CPR
• This is a full time (35 - 40 hrs/week) position.
• Regular hours will be 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday

EXPERIENCE

• Prior experience with sterile compounding preferred, but not required.
• Experience with CPR preferred, but not required.
