Job Description:
As a Research Assistant at Biostone Animal Health you will work in a dynamic team environment to assist senior scientists to develop food and feed safety kits. You will perform the scientific research and development related to food and feed safety diagnostics. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to problem solve.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- perform experiments related to food and feed diagnostic test kit development
- Explore new technology and creative scientific solutions
- Individual as well as team contributions
Skills required:
- biochemistry and food analysis chemistry
ELISA assay development experience is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to problem solve and effectively
discuss data at meetings
- Ability to overcome technical challenges in a fast paced commercial
environment
- Ability to read and search scientific literature
Education / Experience:
- BS in food chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
- 0-3 years of industry or practical laboratory training
