We are looking for a Veterinary Standardization Specialist to join our growing team. Do you love animals? Do you have experience working in veterinary practices and are familiar with veterinary terminology? Can you help us tidy up and make sense of messy veterinary data? This role may be the next step in your career! You would spend more time with data and less time expressing anal glands. Opportunity for advancement into the world of data standardization.
This is a full-time position out of our Lexington, KY office and can be on-site or hybrid.
- Interpret and code veterinary practice data using purpose-built tools
- Collaborate with veterinary partners on their specific standardization needs
- Ensure compliance with data privacy policies and maintain the confidentiality of end user and partner data
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build and enhance tooling
- Help define and document our veterinary coding procedures
Additional duties may be asked of you that are not included in this job description to enhance and create efficiency for the organization. Additional tasks will be authorized by the CEO or President of Bitwerx.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- The ability to quickly learn and assimilate to new technologies
- Fluency in veterinary medical terminology
- Strong creative problem-solving skills
- The ability to perform well under pressure and be resourceful in meeting our partner's deadlines
- 2-3 years of veterinary clinical experience
- Experience working with multiple species (small, exotic, large, etc.)
- Experience working in two or more veterinary practices
PREFERRED/BONUS POINTS
- RVT, CVT, LVT licensure or a degree in Animal Science or a related field
- Knowledge of veterinary practice management systems software
- Knowledge or interest in data quality

Salary : $39,000 - $43,000
