Known for deep client relationships and technical excellence, the firm serves individuals, small businesses, government entities, and global organizations.
They are seeking an experienced Governmental Audit Manager to play a key leadership role within their Government Audit practice. This is an on-site opportunity for a hands-on audit professional who enjoys client interaction, team leadership, and making a measurable impact.
What You’ll Do
As Governmental Audit Manager, you’ll take ownership of engagements from planning through completion while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and a mentor to your team.
- Lead and execute governmental audit engagements with accuracy, efficiency, and technical excellence
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
- Review and prepare engagements for Partner presentation
- Supervise, coach, and develop audit teams of 2–4 professionals
- Communicate audit results and findings clearly to those charged with governance
- Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and internal teams
- Travel to client sites across Georgia and South Carolina as needed
- Mentor interns and staff, providing meaningful feedback and professional development
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of the Government Audit practice
What You Bring
- Proven experience managing multiple governmental audit engagements
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
- Expertise in preparing governmental financial statements
- Professional presence in both office and client environments
- Willingness to travel regionally as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Public accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and GASB standards
- CPA license required
Compensation & Rewards
- Base salary up to $110,000
- Discretionary annual bonus
