Job Summary , shift M-F 12:30pm-4:30pm
Oppurtunity to pick up Sunday shift also.
This is cleaning 2 buildings that are within 5 minutes of each other.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of custodial tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in commercial and residential settings.
- Maintain floors through buffing and polishing to ensure they remain in excellent condition.
- Conduct industrial cleaning as needed, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to support overall building upkeep.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Provide porter services as required, ensuring that common areas are tidy and presentable.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning assignments are completed on time.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
