Job Title: Maintenance Reliability Manager

Location: Janesville, WI.

Job Type: Full-Time (Direct Hire)

Position Summary

Leads Plans/Schedules/Coordinates plant preventative maintenance, work order requests, third-party service providers, and other maintenance activities. This is a full-time on-site role as a Maintenance Reliability Manager located in Janesville, WI. The Maintenance Reliability Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance and repair activities of all equipment in the facility as well as predictive maintenance. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient operation of equipment, implement preventive maintenance programs, and coordinate equipment inspections and upgrades.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Essential Function satisfactorily. The items listed below are representative of these essential functions for this role and may not be a comprehensive list of duties, responsibilities, or expectations.

  • Assist in developing project plans, including defining scope, objectives, and timelines. Create project schedules and coordinate tasks to ensure timely completion. Monitor project progress, adjust, and report as necessary. Coordinate outside service requests, establish purchase orders, ensure purchase orders are closed, and manage expenses within budget requirements.
  • Collects and analyzes data to show predictive failures to minimize reactionary downtime on machines.
  • Monitors breakdowns, determines needs, and assigns resources to ensure equipment is up with minimal impact on production (this includes staffing weekends as necessary).
  • Ensures that replacement parts and equipment inventories are accurate and at approved levels.
  • Facilitate communication between project team members, departments, and stakeholders. Provide regular project updates to the Quality Manager and upper management. Use computers and associated software programs such as PLEX, Word, and Excel to plan maintenance activities and develop training documents.
  • Identify potential risks and issues that could impact machine failures and/or project delivery. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Read and comprehend technical manuals, service manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Complete, coordinate, and prioritize all aspects of the plant’s mechanical and electrical maintenance, shutdowns, projects, new equipment installation, upgrades, equipment repair and rebuilds, plant remodels and expansions, cycle improvements, predictive and preventative maintenance.
  • Identify and assist in the implementation of safety or other projects as required.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
  • Responds promptly to work requests including safety work orders.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding PM requirements, completions, and challenges.
  • Ensure highly planned utilization of technicians and on-time work completion utilizing the lowest possible completion cost with minimum disruption to equipment operation.
  • 100% of PMs are scheduled and completed on time.
  • 100% compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Manage all planned and scheduled maintenance activities and ensure the elimination of delays due to waiting for information, materials, equipment, other skills, and tools.
  • Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of DSB Technologies which includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental Management Systems. 19. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications And Experience

Education, Certifications, and Experience

  • Required Preferred High School diploma with a minimum of four (4) years industrial mechanical experience OR Technical degree (2 years) with a minimum of 1 year leadership experience.
  • Required Preferred Solid working knowledge of PC applications including Microsoft Suite and purchasing systems.
  • Required Preferred Experience and exposure to manufacturing and maintenance processes.
  • Required Preferred Candidates should possess good technical skills in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of increasing responsibility and with potential to assume a progressive leadership role.

  • Required Preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Required Preferred Strong business acumen is financially astute and data-driven.
  • Required Preferred Solid problem-solving skills.
  • Required Preferred Ability to work in process and field areas that may include physical capabilities such as climbing stairs, ladders, and construction areas. Willing and able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Required Preferred Willing and able to be accessible during hours, weekends, holidays, and on short notice as required.
