General Medicine Floor (5th Floor)
This is a 28 bed unit with single rooms, but may double up if needed. Caring for all kinds of General Medicine Patients including tracheostemy, wound care, chest tubes, central lines, and more. There are no telemetry patients on this floor.

Overview

Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.
The 5th floor is the adult medical unit with a 55 bed capability. Patients admitted to the 5th floor are acutely ill patients with medical problems whose primary reasons for admission include but are not limited to Diabetes Mellitus, Renal Failure, GI Bleed, Sepsis and Pulmonary Disease. We serve a wide variety of adult and geriatric patients on the medical unit.
