PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with other departments regarding issues concerning the visual aspects, quality control, and print production of a project.
- Develop visual components of a publication (which may include cover design, interior concept design, overall page layout/design, use of typography, icons, infographics, illustration, and other graphic elements).
- Decide how best to present the information visually so that it is intentional, engaging, and well organized.
- Work with the project team to decide which photographs and/or illustrations to use.
- May also oversee workers engaged in illustration, layout design, and other content creation.
- Work in concert with the project’s team to devise an overall concept, helping bring together words and visuals to enhance the communication of content.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- A strong sense of design and typography with an inherent knowledge of the roles they play in defining a brand and unifying the vision for a project.
- The ability to conceptualize content and articulate it to co-workers.
- Exhibits a high level of creativity and problem-solving skills.
- A reputation for excellence.
- Ensures adherence to style guidelines established for each assigned project.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite focused on Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
