As a QA Lab Technician you would play a critical role in ensuring that we maintain the established quality specifications for all of our products.
By utilizing engineering fundamentals as well as practical hands-on experience, the QA Lab Technician, under direction from the Quality Manager, helps to ensure the quality of all Black Diamond Equipment by:
• Performing inspection and testing of incoming, in-process, and finished products
· Reviewing and archiving inspection and test data
• Assisting in the creation of inspection and testing programs and documentation
• Conducting statistical and graphical analysis of test and inspection data
• Assisting in disposition activities for non-conforming goods
Essential Functions:
You would be responsible and authorized to continuously improve upon and perform all tasks and duties in accordance with BD Employee Policy Guidelines, BD Safety Guidelines and BD Quality System procedures and processes.
1. Perform, design, and investigate; raw material, work-in-process and final batch tests and inspections as directed by QA Manager
2. Assist in creation and maintenance of inspection and testing documentation in support of commercialized and development product
3. Authorized and responsible to analyze inspection and testing results for the purpose of recommending dispositions and to summarize and communicate this information to the appropriate BD personnel
4. Perform investigations and rework activities as directed by the QA Manager
Requirements
Qualifications
Education
Required:
High School Diploma
Preferred:
Associates Degree in Engineering or degree involving extensive lab work or progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or Materials Science)
Work Experience
Required:
1 years working in a QC or laboratory role or classwork involving quality in manufactured product
Preferred:
1-2 years of experience with inspection and/or testing services in an ISO-9001 or equivalent environment
Skills and general experience: Detail oriented. Must be able to conduct detailed inspection and testing. Must have ability to collect QA/QC data and make recommendations based on this information to others. Fluent in appropriate computer skills and software for the execution of required tasks (spreadsheets, word-processing, e-mail).
Alternative qualification:
Required licenses: Valid US driver’s license
