Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces. This role involves performing various landscaping and groundskeeping tasks to ensure properties are well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and safe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess physical stamina, and be eager to learn new skills in landscape maintenance.
Duties
- Assist with lawn care activities including mowing, edging, and trimming using hand tools and power equipment
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, and tree care (including tree trimming)
- Operate machinery such as mowers and other construction or landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use hand tools and power tools for various landscaping tasks, ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed
- Support gardening activities by planting flowers, shrubs, and other greenery in accordance with project specifications
- Assist with general construction activities related to landscape projects as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored properly
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools
- Experience preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn how to operating hand tools, power tools, lawnmowers and other machinery used in landscaping and construction.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions
- Attention to safety procedures when handling equipment and performing outdoor work
