BlackGold Espresso is a coffee shop located in the heart of Prescott, AZ. We are a locally owned shop with a small crew and awesome customers! We take pride in the craft and quality of both our espresso and our baristas!

Job Title: Barista

We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Barista to join our team at BlackGold Espresso! We take pride in crafting unique and traditional espresso drinks, putting the spotlight on the quality of our espresso.

As a Barista, we are seeking people with a true passion for craft coffee. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has prior experience with espresso based drinks.
You will be responsible for making delicious drinks, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. If you have a passion for coffee and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you!

Duties:

- Maintain drinks orders and workflow on our espresso-bar and POS system

- Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, such as lattes and other coffees, teas, house specials, and other fun drinks

- Greet customers in a friendly manner and take their orders accurately

- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee/espresso equipment

- Upsell products and promote special items to customers

- Handle cash transactions using a cash register

- Maintain cleanliness in the serving area and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

-Have the ability to operate under pressure, as well as being able to work independently

**Experience:**

- ONE YEAR MINIMUM BARISTA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating change

- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently

- Latte art is a huge plus! You don't have to be a pro barista, as long as you are willing to learn and grow more!

Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week
