What are the responsibilities and job description for the Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician position at Blackstone Valley Community Health Care?

SUMMARY

The Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Clinician provides direct clinical service to patients in an integrated team based model of care. Clinical service may include consultation/assessment (urgent basis or pre-scheduled), support and linkage services, psychoeducation, brief interventions, and counseling to enhance patient physical and psychological well-being. The IBH Clinician provides clinical supervision to behavioral health interns; participates in quality improvement and peer reviews; and assists in developing programming as requested by the Director of Behavioral Health Services.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Valid clinical license to practice in Rhode Island LCSW required; LICSW or LMHC is preferred.

Master’s Degree, with commensurate practicum, internship, and post graduate work focused clinical mental health practice is required.

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience providing direct clinical behavioral health services is required

Ability to design and implement clinical pathways and protocols for treatment of selected chronic conditions is required.

Experience treating substance abuse/addictions is preferred.

Experience working in a community health care setting is preferred

Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence based treatment for medical and mental health conditions is required.

Comfort with the pace of primary care, working with interdisciplinary team, and having strong communication skills is required.

Excellent patient engagement skills are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $48,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
